Takesada Matsutani

Born 1937 in Osaka, Japan

Lives and works in Paris, France and Nishinomiya, Japan

1957            First accepted at the 8th Nishinomiya City Exhibition.
                   Begins studying with Shosaku Arao, judge for the Exhibition.

1960            First accepted at the 9th Gutai Art exhibition.
                   Continues to show his work there until the group dissolved in 1972.

1963-1972   Member of the Gutai Group

1967            Works at «Atelier 17» with Stanley William Hayter in Paris.
                   Serves as Hayter’s assistant from 1969 to 1970.

1970            Establishes a silkscreen print studio in Montparnasse, Paris.
                   Moves it to Bastille, Paris later.
